Okra Stew With Meat – Turkish Okra Meal Recipe – Etli Bamya
Although okra stew with meat does not have many fans, it is actually a very tasty dish. Personally, I could never understand why so many people dislike okra. Because okra is a very tasty vegetable when used well. Okra stew with meat is also one of these delicious dishes in my opinion.

- 300 g okra
- 250 g cubed meat
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 2 green peppers
- 1 onion
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 2 to matoes
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- salt
- red pepper flakes
- black pepper
Take the oil into the pot and add the finely chopped onions.
After the onions turn pink, add the diced meat and saute for 4-5 minutes until it turns color.
Then add the peppers and sauté a little while stirring.
Add the peeled and chopped tomato and mix again. Cook for 1-2 minutes more.
Finally, add the tomato paste, red pepper flakes and black pepper, mix and add hot water over the dish and let your dish boil for 4-5 minutes. (You can also use vegetable stock or meat stock instead of hot water.)
Add lemon juice to your boiling meal.
Take the okra into a pot, add the salt and mix. Close the lid of the pan halfway and cook your food on low heat until the meats and okra are soft.
