I’m almost absolutely sure that you already know hummus and you ate it at some point. It’s well known beside Turkey and also sold in stores and restaurants. But are you sure the taste is right and did you know it is very simple to test? Just go into your kitchen and make this easy hummus recipe in almost 20 minutes. You won’t regret and you will love love love!
- 2 cup boiled chickpeas
- 1/2 cup tahini
- 1 fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp. garlic powder or 3 cloves crushed garlic
- 4 tbsp. olive oil
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
- Just add all the ingredients in your food processor and mix for about 10 minutes until very creamy : ) If your hummus isn’t creamy enough add few tbsp. water while mixing. And consider it will also thicken in your fridge and make a little bit thinner as you would like.
Not: You can boil your chickpeas and keep them in freezer for about 1 year in small portions freezer bags. We always have chickpeas and borlotti beans in our freezer. Just take them from the freezer and cover with hot water. It will unfreeze in about 2-3 minutes and you can use some of to water to make your hummus thinner and creamier.
