What do you think of chicken fried rice recipe? If you are one of those people who can only think of foods associated with their childhood (i.e. Pop Tart, S’mores, Macaroni and Cheese, etc.). You probably haven’t had much experience with the somewhat forgotten and often passed over, Fried Rice. In this article I am going to share my best fried rice recipe. And hopefully entice you to give it a try sometime.
Chicken fried rice is a very easy and healthy way to use up leftovers. For starters, I always have a half mixture in the pan, since I usually have some liquid to whisk in. That way, I only must turn the heat up a little bit when adding the liquids. You could also use a microwave safe frying pan for this; however I prefer the pan lightly burning on my fingertips. Some people enjoy lightly cooking vegetables in a skillet. But for my needs, the easiest and healthiest way is to use a frying pan with some oil, and a shrimp or chicken piece of breaded and cooked to perfection.
The key to making this Chinese inspired chicken fried rice come together perfectly is to use your creativity and use whichever vegetables you like. My favorite vegetables to use are cauliflower, onions, mushrooms, and shiitake mushrooms. Any of these will work great, however try to avoid using too many vegetables at once. Stirring occasionally will make the flavors meld together and keep the consistency soft and fluffy. If you’re going to make a traditional Chinese fried rice recipe, try using sesame oil instead of the oils mentioned above.
Best Fried Rice Recipe
One of the best things about making this Chinese inspired fried rice at home is being able to control the quantity of ingredients that you use. In a restaurant, the chef may decide which ingredients go in what order. And this can lead to an overall lower quality dish. At home, you can control the amount of cabbage, onions, mushrooms, and shiitake mushrooms you use. Instead of using four cups of noodles in the above recipe, I used six cups, and the dish was just as delicious. In fact, many readers asked me how they can make fried rice that tastes better. So I am glad to share the secret with you.
When cooking this chicken fried rice recipe, I also learned that frying the noodles also releases the delicious sweet and sour flavors in them. Therefore, I added sugar instead of salt and reduced the amount of sugar in the mix. Because I was cooking this recipe for my family, the addition of canned fish and white beans did not hurt either. Just a couple of changes were made by substituting soy sauce for the oyster sauce. And adding nutritional info on the back of the can. Because the fried rice recipe I found has mushroom, onion, and cabbage as its main ingredients, it is easy to replace these items with other items that have similar nutritional benefits.
Easy Fried Rice Recipe
The final changes I made to this delicious best fried rice recipe dish were to increase the spiciness and to add kimchi or spicy Korean vegetables. Spicy kimchi adds a great deal of flavor to this dish, but it also enhances the nutrient content by releasing its nutrients. The best way you can enjoy this recipe is when it’s hot. So, I decided to also add a dash of lime juice to give it a tangy twist. And to help preserve the freshness of the onions and cabbage.
It does not take a lot of time or effort to make this easy fired rice recipe. I prepared the batter and wok ingredients, set the wok on a heat proof surface, and fried the rice in a very hot wok until it was translucent and set. Once I cooked the rice, I placed it into my wooden steamer and let it steam gently. Because this was my best fried rice recipe so far, I felt that it deserved some extra attention to its freshness and made sure to put it in the fridge before serving.
Because Kimchi is typically prepared with seafood or beef components, the resulting dish may be a bit tough if you are not accustomed to them. This easy recipe is one that I would recommend for beginners who would like to try Korean-style food without having to master a ton of difficult recipes. I find that most versions are easy to make and are very satisfying once you have tried them. In fact, I think that anyone will be impressed by the results, especially those who choose to substitute seafood or beef components for the chicken and the ham.
